The death has occurred of Michael Casey, Coscorrig View, Loughrea, Co. Galway. He passed away peacefully at home on 25th April, following a long illness borne with dignity and courage, with his loving and devoted daughter Clare by his side.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Katherine Casey, his brothers Tommy, Brendan, Anthony, and his sisters Maura, Stasia, Bernie, Patricia, and Teresa.
Michael will be greatly missed and remembered with love by his children Clare and Sarah and their mother Eleanor; his grandchildren Annabel, Charlotte, Daniel, and Matthew; his sons-in-law Mark Sweeney and Alex Galpin; his sisters Bridie and Rita; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends.
He will also be fondly remembered by his caring neighbours and friends, whose support meant so much to him and his family. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Michael’s doctors, nurses, and carers for their dedicated care.
Michael was a kind and gentle man, and many have shared warm memories of him with the family.
In keeping with his wishes, his cremation will take place privately with immediate family. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
