A man was fatally shot following a vehicle collision early Saturday morning, according to Phoenix Police Department.
Officers responded shortly after 4 a.m. to a crash near 7th Street and Alice Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the driver of a truck—an adult male—had been shot after the collision, police spokesperson Sgt. Jen Zak said.
Emergency responders from Phoenix Fire Department pronounced the man dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
Police confirmed that an unidentified man was detained at the scene in connection with the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say additional details will be released as they become available.
