The death has occurred of Ryan Eiler, a 32-year-old teacher, coach, and member of the Minnesota National Guard, who tragically died following a car crash in Edina, Minnesota.
The incident occurred on April 26, 2026, on northbound Highway 169 near Highway 62. According to authorities, his vehicle suddenly veered to the left and struck a cement median barrier. He was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officials confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and alcohol is not suspected as a factor. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Ryan was a valued member of Shakopee Public Schools, serving as a health and physical education teacher since 2021. He was also an assistant coach for the school’s track and field sprint team and an active member of the Army National Guard.
He was known for his energy, dedication, and positive impact on students, earning respect from colleagues and the wider community.
